Personally i would say the following have a very good chance:

Mo Farah
Dai Greene
Jess Ennis
Phillips Idowu

And the following may surprise and snatch an unexpected Gold:

Christine O
Robbie Grabertz
Tiffany Ofili-Porter
Jamila Aldama
Greg Rutherford

Anyone else I may have missed out??

Ofili-Porter? While I do not support American athletes competing for Great Britain, she simply has no chance of a gold no matter where she comes from, such a messy hurdler! And Christine Ohorugu? Give me strength, not a cats chance in hell! The top four I think are realistic (minus maybe Dai - he just isn't quick enough against some of the in form athletes), Mo and Ennis especially. Should be a good games.

I'd be surprised if anyone other than Mo, finds the top step.

Christine always delivers when it matters. I expect her to medal. Ofili-Porter has the 2nd fastest time in the world behind Sally Pearson in the last 12 months so I would expect a podium for her as well

Obviously I should say I'm not being a negative nerys, and would love it for us to finish with a haul.
Plus athletics isn't my #1 sport.

It just seems on the biggest stage we do it in spite of our talent and training instead of because of it.
A lot of victories seem to come as a surprise, Kelly Holmes, Christina O, men's relay etc.
Instead of consistent performances from the likes of Edwards and Mo.
