take off the Liverpool tinted specs.

His "good" World Cup lasted about 15 minutes.

Will you pipe down please? Rather than hysterically attacking every single poster who goes against your tedious, monotonous prose? Gerrard was one of the better players. I know that's not saying much. As for Liverpool tinted specs, I will happily accept that Johnson and Carragher were shite for the most part of the tournament. Why don't YOU take your Manc-tinted specs off and stop linking Rooney's GUFF performances to the English media.

I can't believe anyone is saying Milner...he was very poor...hardly involved at all.

James showed that he should have played from the start...had he played against the USA we probably wouldnt be as disappointed as we are right now...if it wasnt for him we could have conceded 6 or 7 today.

Much as I hate him Ashley Cole looked very good.

Jermaine Defoe looked pretrty good. If you had never seen them play and you were asked to pick which was the £30m+ player between Defoe and Rooney it would have been Defoe every time. Rooney was shocking.

All the other players let themselves and us down big time.

I thought Gerrard's aimless shooting today was as poor a performance as any other player except Rooney who obviously is not interested. A totally ineffective captain as well.

Gareth Barry did what we know he can do as did Ashley Cole and David James the rest were very poor generally and didnt perform anywhere near to their capability.

Out of those that played a significant part:

Milner, Terry, Cole, Gerrard.

Thought they all did well. Terry struggled a bit today but I feel that was due to playing with a very nervous centre half alongside him. He certainly seems to care more than most of them...

James didn't do much wrong either I suppose and Defoe.

Pity we will never know IF Crouch could have kept up his scoring record.
And can we rate Fabio's £6million performance?

Heskey, for the simple fact he put more EFFORT in during his time on the pitch than that overated granny buffing twat beside him.

Ashley Cole, Glen Johnson and I think Heskey was the only one that seemed to care. (forgot to select 2 of those though)

Voted for Cole (because he's been consistent out of our supposed 'world class' players), Milner (because despite playing badly against USA he was one of our best players in the last 2 games) and James (because he came in at a difficult time and played well).#

Pretty depressing looking through the list though and realising how few of our players have actually been 'good' this tournament.
