Based on the Dublin club scene prior to this year, pubbing. Tripod is starting to swing me towards clubbing, but then I just go to some expensive dive like Dandelion to get smashed back to earth...

Two entirely separate entities. I go to the pub if I want to talk to my mates and get pissed. I go clubbing to listen to music and dance. Clubbing gives the more memorable nights, so I choose that

Pubbing, especially after the smoking ban comes in and I don't come home stinking of smoke.

Clubbing is ok occasionally but most nights end up descending into RnB crap which you just can't get excited about or dance to (not that I can dance). I like the idea of being able to hear what people say too.

I must be well boring. I'm 18, and I'd say most of my mates prefer pubs over clubs.

Pubs for me, too old for night clubs.

This is what I meant about Tripod getting me over towards clubbing - no RnB. Ever. As well as rather big names playing at times...

Pity its so bloody expensive to get in and out of the city centre

sometimes i love clubbing, it really depends on what mood i'm in as sometimes i really just can't be arsed with it

pubs are better for having a LARF with your MATES and they always serve NICER drinks

Never particulaly enjoyed clubbing in the UK and now the licensing laws have been sorted out, people no longer have to put themselves through it:

Queues in the COLD to get in, shirt and shoes dresscodes, wanker bouncers full of ATTITUDE, ten notes or more just to get through the door, overpriced fizz in bottles masquerading as "drinks", nine times out of ten shit DJs playing cheesy shite, COCK-END groups of blokes looking for fights to compensate for their FAILED lives, noisy packs of sluttish LITTLE-PRINCESS birds thinking the world revolves around them (usually overweight and UGLY), fights, disgusting excuses for toilets, people pissing and vomiting outside at 2am... Just a few of the highlights of the clubbing experience in England.

People now have a choice. :drink: :drink: :clap2:

How the f*** is clubbing for people who can't make conversation? Most, if not all the people on here slagging clubs are describing the event and creation, i.e full of twats and shit music. I'm not surprised you have a dim view of clubs if you only go in shitholes like that. Go to a decent club which plays good music and there will be plenty of people willing to talk to you and no attitude at all.
