With news of the Avian flu pandemic worsening and many hundreds of thousands of turkeys being culled alongside the exchange rate drop with many foreign turkey purchases made in dollars expected to lead to an 80% increase in Butterball Turkey prices, what bird(s) will you be roasting this Christmas Day?

??

After a few years of being persuaded to go Turkey/Gammon and various 3/4/5 bird things, I suspect there will only be 4,5 or very max 6 this year, so we can go back to the traditional Wz Xmas dinner of Goose (but only needing the one)

Who doesn't love a Goose when the occasion is right

beef, as turkey is dry, tasteless and overpriced.

I'll be doing a ham a few days after the day. Don't rate turkey unless it is cooked to perfection which nobody I know, including me, knows how to do. I'm not a foody and people who make a big song and dance about cooking get on my tits, so it'll just be done with cauliflower cheese, roasties, carrots and peas. I'm working on the day so one of the day-staff will likely have plated up a Turkey roast for us nighties.

I couldn't care less about it. I'd be just as happy if I was served a fish finger sandwich and a nice cuppa.
