I wasn't and don't. What was so bad (apart form the score obviously)

Chippy got sent off for kicking someone, linesman was a complete ****** which made things worse...oh and the 6 hour train journey home:mad:

The joys of being an Albion fan!:ascarf:

Forgotten who the opposition was, but the last game of the season.......we had to win to gain promotion to the First Division, which we did, but needed anything other than a 0-0 draw between Southampton and Spurs. The whole experience was incredibly depressing.

The Palace 5-0 is not going to get my vote as it was just absolutely wonderful to be playing them again. The fact that the result was a total humiliation was irrelevant..

You're joking right?

Losing to Palace 5-0 is an 'irrelevance'? Absolute rubbish. It was a hideous, hideous defeat. Gutless, spineless, pathetic. I was so angry I was almost in tears.

The 1-0 in '95 took a bit of the pain away.

All the games I have seen us play against Stoke, in face I wish that I had never even heard of the place, let alone been there.

Correct. Remember the two penalties in two minutes - followed by a blatant Hinshelwood handball that should have made it 3 in 3, I think the ref just couldn't bring himself to award it.

That's just one trip up there I wish I'd never made...

Abort, retry, fail
Recent history? Probably the Millwall game when they overturned a 1-0 after some village defending and then we faced a hail storm.

Sudbury Town anyone? I have been to some cold places, but nowhere was colder than the Goldstone that night.

> Without wishing to open a can of worms here, although McGhee was probably unwise to say 'it was a meaningless game' - I do think that he was trying to protect the young team from the baying masses. You could see that they were distraught enough when they were relegated without McGhee ripping them to shreads. That was my take on it.

I think the Plymouth 5-1 defeat was worse than Stoke due to the simple fact that it cost an awful lot more for me to go and watch

Palace(the first) , no contest. Most if the other games people have mentioned in recent seasons I have attended. But how about Luton away the seson before last in midweek just after christmas, a 3-0 reverse and 2-0 down at H/T. God that was a low point. As was pretty much all that season (with a few notable exeptions).:nono:

Somewhat bizarrely I enjoyed the Plymouth game, the weather was nice, my lunch was a mighty fine pasty and we made our own entertainment to make up for a lack of it on the pitch...two words, "shrek donkey"...

Aah, Luton away - Turienzo and McCammon up front and -10 degrees - i can see your point. Personally for me it was Scunthorpe away, 1997, 5 games to go, we lost this game with a whimper, we were six points adrift, after the game i really thought it was all over.
