Where's the cheapest pint in Sussex?

The Sussex Cricketer are doing all cask ales for £ 2.49 on Mondays.

It's just around the corner for me but, when you say " Cask Ales " I hope you don't mean Harvey's, Doom Bar or Betty Scoggins ?

I paid £1.85 for a pint of ale (I can't remember which ale) in Weatherspoons in Hailsham not long ago. I also had one of the nicest pints I've ever had in there for £2.15 which was Sussex Pride from the Longman brewery.

They were doing Sussex Pride in The Swann on Saturday.

Hopefully they'll start putting bumf on the side of their beers about taking no prisoners, taking it to the man and other No Fear rip-offs and the beer will taste much better.

I used to work in an office on North Street which overlooked the new Wetherspoons, it was quite amusing when a taxi turned up at 9am and some old pensioner would make his way into the pub not to be seen for hours.

On a similar note I was at a Jason Manford gig last night in Weston-Super-Mare and he asked the price of a pint as he liked to compare them whilst on tour. WSM came in at £3.70 but he said Royal Tunbrdige Wells was a staggering £6.75 a pint.....wont be popping over there for a swift half!!!

The Lindfield club was around £2 a pint of Harvey's when I was there just before Christmas. There is a £30 annual fee and joining fee to consider however

Slightly OT but have Wetherspoons made a mistake with the one in Burgess Hill I was in there yesterday (Sunday) at 11.30 having breakfast and there was only about 12 people in there. I have never seen a Wetherspoons so empty.

The Mitre is fantastic although they do occasionally serve a lumpy pint of Harveys. Don't think they quite have the turnover they need.

Have made the schoolboy error of going into the Mitre after xmas eve morning shopping at the co-op for a pint and opting for a pint of Harveys Christmas Ale on draught. Barman will serve you it, albeit with a verbal reminder that it is a full one percent abv above Tennents Super
