Baby is a beautiful girl, she weighed in at 3200 grams (about seven pounds) and 50 centimetres (19 inches).

The midwife wasn't really late, well obviously she missed the birth but we called her at about midday and she said call me when the waters break/pain gets worse etc, which happened at about 1pm so we called, baby arrived 15 minutes later so the midwife didn't have much chance to get here yet.

I did a very good job of playing midwife though, if I do say so myself. Baby was caught in the bath mat. :lolol:

Just back from California today, well done and good luck to the whole family, it's great to hear news like this, I was away for two weeks and to people I had a great deal of respect for died while I was away so once again well done
