Or was he?

Kanu's 45 apparently...

Well, quite.

Victor once had to be substituted in a year 10 game at Whitgift, as he'd scored 10 [TEN] goals and it was all getting a bit embarrassing. Of course the fact he was probably really about 3 years older than the other kids probably helped, but impressive all the same.

Whitgift is full of Palace rejects. And Colin Pates, who was quite good for us for a season or so.

Here he is in all his beauty:

I'll state at this point that I'm only JOSHING about Moses. I do a load of work at Whitgift School, so have known about him for years, and have followed his progress with interest. Its a remarkable story, what the poor kid came from, and I genuinelly wish him every success.

I hope he gets a good move, to a decent club. I don't even mind if he goes for serious wedge, as none of it will go to Palace anyway - it will just fall into the big black hole that is the debt to Jordan, himself.

Are Colin Pates and the other ex-Albion John Humphrey still coaching at Whitgift? Jokes of coaches if ever there were some....!

oh to reminiss over the days when they tried to coach the school's team when the school was "encouraging" all decent athletes to play rugby

Ex-palace coach Steve Kember is head coach I think.

Not only that but Liverpool are considering a £10m bid to get Neil Mellor back.

:lolol:

To be fair, he'd probably still be better than David Ngog and Dirk Kuyt. Stand by for breaking news about Juventus's impending signing of Freddy Eastwood.

In spite of all this, Palace do seem to have a rather well-developed ability to mug off rich clubs for average players. How much did they get for Wayne Routledge (currently in someone's reserves) while John Bostock has done so well at Spurs, he's been loaned to Brentford.

The Premier League clubs wont come in for him as they know Palace will have to sell him for peanuts at the end of the season because they wont be able to afford his wages in L1.

Hull are reportedly interested in Mido and Amr Zaki. I wouldn't be surprised to see Moses join the Egyptian exodus to the promised land of the KC Stadium...
