Small town at the edge of the tourist zone of Rhodes called Lardos, small town with a few small hotels, the touristy bit generally ends at Lindos, Lovely friendly locals and bars geared up to serve the local community rather than visitors and little cove beaches perfect for a husband and wife to have to themselves.

Sorrento, Italy. Beautiful place. I love the architecture, people, food and drink, scenery, history. Amazing holiday.

To be honest I could quite happily go on holiday to Italy every year, there is so much to see and do there.

Tiny little town in the northern hills of Thailand is up there, Along with my time in Uganda.

I'm desperate to head to and back pack around central and south America.

China was brilliant also, The country side more than the cities mind.

Have you tried Lake Como?

Heard and seen great things, That'll be on the list at some point also. A friend went and showed me the pictures and it looked beautiful. I've only been to Italy once on a weekend break in Pisa and travelled around there a little and it is stunning.

I went there on a school trip back in '07! Fantastic place and memories, climbing Vesuvius and going to Capri for a day and watching the sun set were some of the highlights...

New Hampshire was a good holiday, the highlight being able to waltz into a local gun range and claim to have played Modern Warfare 2 (I hadn't), and for that to be sufficient 'experience' for the chap behind the counter to give me a semi automatic rifle and as much ammo as I could pay for.

Yosemite was wonderful, just for the wildlife. Took this photo from the window of our cabin:

Did Vegas, but I was 20 at the time, so I couldn't get boozed up/gamble/have hilarious Hangover-esque mishaps.

I want to go to Alaska in the next couple of years.

Other than America, I've been to France but it was shit, obviously.

Best holiday experience - Disney with my little girl and her face when she met the characters! The excitement on her face was just beautiful.

Would like to go to Dubai I think

The wife and I went to Rhodes before we had our kids and we visted Lardos and it was lovely. We stayed in a resort outside of Rhodes and as fantastic as it was to visit during the day with all it's history and culture, at night when we went for meals out I found it overpriced, touristy and customer service was shite. Our little resort out of town was much nicer,

It is great and there is so much to do. Climbing Vesuvius, Pompei, Herculaneum/Ercolano, Positano, Amalfi Drive, Capri. Sorrento itself at day and night is also pretty special.

Went there for a fantastic 11 days, a year before life changed with kids! Loved Sorrento so much. I think out hotel was just a 2 or 3*, but seemed better than the rating, with typically beautiful Italian food.

Would love to spend more time in Austrian ski resorts.

Long term aspirations .... NZ and see the Northern Lights in Arctic Scandanavia

Canada was fantastic. We did a fly drive around BC, Alberta then back through Montana, Idaho and Washington State to Seattle. Fantastic driving down the Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Lake Louise and onto Banff.

We have had two holidays on Rhodes.Tholos and Lardos ,we have been lucky both times, tholos was perfect for paradise beach(no paradise with planes so low on the flightpath in,but the bars around there were fantastic) but Lardos was something special.Such a great vibe to the place.

Very much this, been to Italy loads, it's an amazing country, everything about the place is amazing. History, architecture and food. Florence was my favourite on the day of the Palio.
By the way, I've just seen I made a mistake with the thread title. Should read where IN the world? But can't change it.
