The weather was Lovely here in my new home of Hampton Court. Absolute stunner of a day, walk along the Thames in blazing sunshine followed by bbq and pub garden til gone midnight in shorts. Brighton fog is a distant memory.
Yes we had a glorious day in Kingston yesterday a lovely stroll around the town and river.

Lovely part of the UK, very glad I moved here. You cannot beat a flowing river running through the British countryside.

and a few years ago all the focus was on the Gulf stream currents. trouble is the outcomes keep failing to match the predictions, so they shift themselves and the discussion on to a new topic. meanwhile they pump new data into the model which they missed out before. incredibly early weather models on climate change didnt include variation in Sun output (assumed a constant), some didnt include the albedo effect and they still dont include effects of cosmic radiation on cloud formation. fair enough, because its a novel hypthosis around that area, and not fully understood. the point is, there are so many factors and the models are just that, synthetic mathmatical constructions that best emulate within the limitations of the data and algoritms provided. but they tell us live changing certainties based on this, even though the previous prdictions have been wrong. anywhere else in science they'd be told to eff off and start again rather then getting away with a tweek and re-brand. its poor science.

There is some truth in what you write, it is not an exact science and most researchers will agree. They fully admit they can't predict exactly what will happen as this data takes generations to gather and seeing as they only started in the mid 80's they hold their hands up to this. Most scientists and layman agree however, that deforestation, pollution and exhaustion of the planets resources is having an increasingly devastating effect on our climate.

don't get me wrong... i enjoy hot days of 25 degress C + when i have days off or are on holiday....

sod putting on the shirt and tie if the temperature was like that everyday though! 20 degress is enough during the normal working week!

Don't hold your breathe if you live on the coast, the sea is still only 13c. Any decent warmth will be inland..

Border country.East Preston.
I was outside in Worthing yesterday all day up until about 17:00 and I don't think it was cold at any point although it did cloud over.

Ok, it wasnt Worthing , i was in East Preston but there were grey skies as far as i could see, it didnt feel like a sea mist, it felt like an overcast crap day so you can imagine my horror when i found out the whole country was enjoying the best day of the year. It slightly cleared up at around the same time you said it clouded over.

Just a solid week of sun and warmth would be good

The latest model output paint a very nice picture for the end of this week onwards. With a few divergent examples all show a strong High Pressure establishing and remaining over the UK. It will feel a bit like one of those proper summers we've been missing for the last 4 or 5 years. Just take care with the water usage...
