:wave:8 games is 5 too many.

Knight should be making enquiries now.

Adams has embarrassed us. Since September the writing has been on the wall.

How many more games do we have to put up with this now.

Go now!
why blame adams as in theory adams was doing shite before he came to us?
surely you appoint the best available not a long friendship luvvy duvvy thingy, the buck stops with knight:thud:
other supporters have said that adams is a shadow of his former self sadly so why employ him?

I think it's a very valid question. Some (though not all) of the the people calling for Adams to be sacked were happy to see the back of Wilkins and were also pleased when McGhee was sacked! You do not have to be Mystic Meg to know that these people will not be happy if the new guy is anything less than a roaring success.

Sadly they will be doomed to disappointment because unless we are VERY lucky the new guy won't be a roaring success. That's because we are currently a third divison side so we will in all probability get a third division manager and not Jose Moriniho. As there are a large number of 'not-quite-top-drawer' managers currently unemployed we're never all going to agree on who should get the job; consequently from Day One there will be people saying we've got the wrong man and we should have gone for X, Y or Z. At the the first slump in form they will be on here or ringing up the phone-in saying 'Told you so'; this could be as early as five or six games in!

He did have a time before when he was as unpopular as he is now, that's when he went to the argus telling the fans to shut up. AND we were a division lower than we are now.

So why are there the same reactions now to those at the beginning of the season, all negativity and moaning and complaining - when have the fans been vocally supportive of the team this season? or even in recent seasons? - no, i can't remember when the last time was either

Wilkins was subject to many a thread last season calling for his sacking and Adams return, yet a good spell got us to an artificially high position and the fans on here talked themselves into believing that promotion was the only thing that was aceptable this season.
I disagree with the 'false position' bit and I agree with Albion Dan's 'total f***-up' comment but you do make a valid point; there WERE loads of threads on here last season about how dire we were - even when we were winning games in the last minute! (Southend at home). I'm only half-joking when I say I blame the fans; those of you who moaned at Wilkins and wanted a change: well you've got it. You've now got the team you deserve - pity you've had to inflict it on the rest of us as well.

...If the rumours of siding with the agent/player ahead of the club when it came to contract negotiations are to be believed then it was really Wilkins that instigated it. I was/am a big fan of Wilkins and was bitterly disappointed to see him sacked, but perhaps there are mitigating circumstances that made his position untenable. Could the club have moved forward if the board could not trust the manager?

....
I remember arguing this point with ROSM. If there were non-football problems (i.e. contracts etc) then the fault lay squarely with the board and whoever was supposed to be managing Wilkins. Have we got a Director of Football? If so they should have been sacked and behind-the-scenes changes made so that Wilkins could concentrate on what he was good at. Maybe that might have meant disciplining him and taking away some of his responsibilities, that might have worked but who knows? It's all irrelevant now anyway.

If they bring in a new guy in Jan he'll get the rest of the season - irrespective of what happens regarding relegation - and at least the first 2 months of next season. After that it will depend on results. If we're near the bottom of League 2 then there will be another surge in these types of thread and Harty will need to find another excuse to keep a lame duck alive.

One thing I learnt from my mistakes when I was a kid Was that I had to accept when I did wrong and take responsibility.

STOP BLAMING OTHER PEOPLE YOU FAGGOT MICKY ADAMS AND ACCEPT YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!

No wonder he has been such an utter failure in life before.
