Really fancy us to get something next week. Manure are a bit flakey and will feel extra pressure at home.

With the exception of The Big Two (Man City, Liverpool. Obviously) it all feels like it's up for grabs this season. Maybe too many of these people just finally got paid such huge sums for so little effort that they just all lost the hunger to win.

Wow did we really get to 25 points by the beginning of new year last year ?! Just shows how comfortable we were first half of the season a year ago and how hughton was even more effective at picking up points than potter for that period.

Let's hope potter can keep the upward trajectory.

Hughton 14 points after 12 games.
Potter 15 points after 11 games.

Reality shows Potter has been more effective.

I think its time for didums to go to bed if you are going to get all bent out of shape over a word. What a tool.

Jees, maybe you're right. I'll put my jim-jams on and hit the hay. Y'all have a nice day now, ya hear?

Yes we did. Odd to read so many people now claiming we were utter dogshit. We beat next week’s opponents Man Utd twice in the space of 5 months when they had a much better manager back then. Not bad for a dogshit Albion team. I prefer to think of it as you can never get too ahead of yourself given the standard of this league

No those stats show both were effective at this stage of the season

Are you really saying you can’t see the improvement in our performances over last season? The United players were pretty well on strike in those two wins btw. We were not dogshit we were just ultra defensive as the manager gave way too much respect to EVERY team we played. Yes, it could all go wrong but at least it’s been fun to watch this season and we look like we belong. At no stage last season did we look like anything other than the underdog...and played like it.

Reality only after Bournemouth match when we shall have played everyone once, and Spurs twice; closest you can get this season to a realistic intermediate call.

Every season is different - comparisons like this are pretty much irrelevant - last season who would have thought that Watford would have been buried at the bottom without a win.

There is an increasing gulf - everyone from sixth place down will be looking over their shoulder for the rest of the season (with the possible exception of Spurs and Man U). In the championship everyone from 16th up can potentially get promoted - big difference in the two divisions.

Amazing what spending £60million on three players and getting two of the kids to come though can do for a team

You are CH and I claim my £5

We spent a similar amount last season, are you suggesting CH had no say and GP did?

The big difference this season in my opinion is that we have more than plan A and are no longer predictable. The players are also playing without fear which has a lot to do with the way they are managed, again just imo.

I’ll never understand why, if Potter is so good (and he’s had a promising start for sure), some find it so necessary to re-write history to claim everything Hughton did in the Prem was dogshit.

So Hughton didn’t even get 2 fine wins over United? That legacy has to be torn down thanks to this odd mania

I guess United must also be on strike now as well then Icy, given their position in the table? You are promising us all a nailed on 3 points next week then - fantastic!
