The eye watering amount of money now being reported is a tribute to Tony Bloom’s hard nosed negotiating skill. Thank god we have him ! Mind you, I Will believe it is settled when I see the pic of Moises putting pen to paper .
Bloom doesn’t get involved in transfers. As reported the negotiations were handled by barber and weir.

Don't be so meek, Eric. With that kind of thinking you're basically saying we'll be starting each game without Caicedo with a 1 goal handicap.
Until we replace him with Caicedo v2.0, yes absolutely. But that is only a temporary situation. All other PL teams have that handicap when they play Chelsea.

We both know that Caicedo is that good. It's why there was a bidding war that topped out at 115m.

  • Anfield holds over 10,000 more spectators than Stamford Bridge, and Liverpool has experienced greater success than Chelsea.
  • Goodison Park is across the river, and the Merseyside derby is a thrilling, historical rivalry - arguably, one of the best in the Premier League!
  • The Grand National horse race takes place there at Aintree - probably the biggest of its kind in the UK.
  • If you are interested in museums/galleries? Well, Liverpool gladly takes second (behind London) for that.
  • It's maritime sights received UNESCO status including the Pier Head and Albert Dock.
  • The city's vast collection of parks and open spaces has been described as the "most important in the country".
  • The Beatles, regarded as the most influential band of all time, were formed in Liverpool and has built a great music scene in the city.
  • It is also home to the oldest black community in the UK.
These are just a few things in Liverpool, excluding the recent Eurovision and tight-knit community within the city, so @dwayne will Chelsea (London) definitely be more attractive?
A nice list but one point of order; Goodison is just over the park from Anfield. It is Prenton Park that is just over the river.

I thought on the high performance podcast when asked about the Chelsea stuff, Barber said he doesn’t get to involved as Weir & Bloom handle negotiations with Barber getting involved if asked

I know it’s been done to death but how the f*** can Chelsea spend so much and keep spending?
It’s ridiculous. I still don’t get it.

We have a difference of opinion on who conducted the negotiations. Was it Barber and Weir, or Bloom and Weir?

Transfer fees received go in this year's accounts as total receipts. I think they've sold around 250m of players this summer.
Transfer fees spent are amortised over lengths of contracts (now limited)

Has the erudite Astrid commented yet? Was she not drinking tears after we accepted Liverpool's bid?

If she does another BAFTA quality video I'll check it out for you.

Why was she drinking BHA's tears anyway? I'm not clever enough to work that out.

She is probably on the kings road dressed in her most alluring attire keeping an eye open for Moises.
