Has something happened to indicate that (I've not kept up with the whole saga)?

At the end of last season, Roberto said we'd probably be losing Alexis and Moises, and if it's for £111m I think Roberto would be realistic about the club accepting it, and the higher wage and prospects for Moises.

Obviously I don't like players downing tools, but unlike most people it seems, I don't actually know what's happened here. I've loved watching him, I thought he was mustard, and if we get £111m for him, that's good for the club (although since it's not my money, I'd rather he was still with us).
From his last press conference - De Zerbi said: “I've already forgotten Moises”

I agree with you I have loved watching Moises, brilliant footballer, nearly always got a smile on his face. I agree with those who say he is being led as he seems to be pretty immature and naive imo. I haven’t heard him say anything about being desperate to play for Chelsea, although I have seen it quoted all over the media. I’d like to hear it coming out of his mouth

No need for that.

I presume you've never been a landlord. I can assure you that they're not all Hoogstratens. You are not right about everything.

I'll not derail the thread any further.
It was a lighthearted way of saying that defending football agents is a tough sell.

Hmm, you do wonder whether there is something else going on back in Ecuador. How much clout/influence/hold over him/his family do his agents have back there? It may be something like:-

Caicedo: "OK, guys, I'm going to Liverpool. They've outbid Chelsea. Can you sort out the details please?"

Dodgy Agent " Ooh, Moises, I'm really worried about your Great Uncle Pedro's Cantina. All that cooking oil. Very flammable you know. Be awful if something happened to it. "

Caicedo (Long thoughtful pause). "Oh, err, OK. Well we did promise Chelsea didn't we......." (Wipes brow)
Violent criminal gangs are running the show in Ecuador alongside a corrupt Government. Whether they control and influence football agents, who knows?

No. A drug cartel did apparently. All the arrested were Colombian nationals.

Think Roberto will be lauded tomorrow even more so after his presser today. Wonder if any chants will be aimed at Chelsea and Moises?
Absolutely! we need to show we are 100% behind the team and players who want to play for us, the manager, Tony Bloom, PBOBE. Because club and fans who are completely together can achieve anything.

I really hope we can make it rocking at the Amex tomorrow, we know the away fans are going to be up for it.

He's just got to move forward with the players we have. He's forgotten about Alexis too, but I don't think they're 'dead to him'.

Any player would accept the move, so I can't see the issue. And when he signs for another club, all he'll be saying is that he's happy to have signed for them, and looking forward to playing etc. He doesn't need to say anything about us.

I hope that wherever he goes he breaks a toe in his first game. Just enough to screw up a couple of months of his season.
I'll boo him too just because he's opposition trying to secure a win for his new team at our expense. I'll boo all opposing players for exactly that reason. Booooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

And you were right really. Whilst all B2L landlords may not be Sheriff Fatman, it's a tough argument to make that the practice actually benefits society, rather than just benefiting the investor. Building houses to let can of course be of benefit by increasing the housing stock. Buying up housing to let just seems to reduce the number of houses available, thus increasing the price of property for the sake of personal profit.

They may all be honest and fair landlords, but they're still exploitative owners of the means of production, sitting with their feet up, whilst their money does the work and they get fat off the sweat of the working man. ;)

If Liverpool get the hump over the delay and TB doesn’t back down from his midnight lottery play and refuses to sell to Chelsea then maybe…. He stays.

We’ll have to agree to differ on our interpretation of RDZ’s comment then.

You don’t see an issue in him possibly refusing to sign for Liverpool as he’d rather sign for a club who offered 15 million less? Lucky you aren’t anywhere near the Albion recruitment/transfer team then

On the other hand while many football agents may well be leaches primarily concerned with their own profit, in general it's a good idea for footballers to have somebody else look after their financial affairs.
Maybe all the awful agents should swap places with all the good landlords, so we don't have to caveat our sweeping generalisations.

Quite a contrast from what he said in the run-up to the Bournemouth game in early February, after Moises had been told to stay away from the club during the rest of the window, but was brought back into the fold.

“I’m very happy that Moises will stay with us until the end of the season, and I want to speak to our fans because I want them to support him and not criticise him. I don’t know if he made a mistake or not, but the transfer market is closed. I am the coach and I take the responsibility for him, and I think the fans must follow me and believe in me."

And we did. Moises got a tremendous reception at the Amex when he came on as a 2nd half sub.

Since then, and then signing a new deal, Moises and his agent have thrown this show of faith and solidarity back in RDZ's face. I wouldn't be surprised if they both wake up to a horses head tomorrow.

Silly boy has burnt his bridges,
