That's got to be a piss-take, having seen the route the 'Chels' mob went down.

It's beautifully over the top, with novice photoshop on the badge, orange jumpsuit and handcuffs :lolol:
Agreed. A blatant piss take....I like it!

Now Roberto has blown the lid on any type of gentleman’s agreement why would Caceido push for a move after penning a four year deal. If he was desperate to move he would have been advised not to sign the new deal.

Chelsea really doing themselves no favours here. They either don't get the target they have spent months negotiating for or they do exactly what the are trying not to do in showing every club they are willing to overpay in order to get their man.

Meanwhile Brighton either get £100m or keep a world class player who signed a new deal only a few months ago.

Bloom is giving Boehly a bit of a lesson.

I've been lurking on the various Reddit threads about this and it's pretty fascinating (read: hilarious) to see the various takes on there.

"Should sack his agents for not putting a release clause in" - probably a fair comment, on balance
"Needs to refuse to play to push the move" - we don't tend to buckle to that pressure
"Brighton are greedy" - Brighton have a valuation Chelsea have yet to meet

And so on and so on.

But the one that really amuses is:

"He's played under 50 games, how are they asking for £100m?"

Easy: we put in a f**k-ton of work over (I think) three years to sign him in the first place. He's a vital part of our team. He's young and genuinely has potential to become the best defensive midfielder on the planet. Most importantly he's under contract, a contract he signed six months ago.

I swear the users on r/soccer have an average age of 15 or something.
Their logic totally falls over on the appearances argument.

They spent over £100 million on Fernandez who’d played 113 career games when they signed him. They are being selective with the less than 50 games as that’s his Premier League appearances. He’s actually played nearly 100 senior games across his career. Half of those in the PL, which probably makes him more experienced than Enzo as he hadn’t played in the PL at all previously.

I think we have given chelsea the only two options we would consider

Colwill + Cash
£100m with a large chunk up front

As all good negotiators would do you make the option you want the more attractive to force the others hand. Chelsea don’t want to part with Colwill they have been clear on that but seem to think making pointless incremental bids under £100m will make us rethink.

Again we have a ‘big’ club thinking they can throw their weight around now getting schooled at the poker table.

The thing that’s beginning to worry a few Chelsea Twitter users is that Colwill hasn’t signed an extension and has said nothing publicly. It would be a big PR win all round if he made a statement like “I enjoyed my time at Brighton, they’re a great club. But my heart is with Chelsea and I plan to stay here and continue to improve /blah blah”. It would immediately damp down the speculation — but he doesn’t do it. This is freaking them out. Personally I’d take Colwill +50m for Moises but I’d prefer even more to keep him and forego Levi. I’m probably an idiot but I didn’t see exactly what all the fuss was about with Colwill.

Time for Chelsea to bag the £60m+ Colwill deal and raid Palace for Guéhi.
I think that's their big issue isn't it. If they hand Colwill over they will then have to find 2 new centre backs and look silly after Poch had made a big show of keeping him.

What they SHOULDNT have done was sell all of their central midfielders and show the entire world how desperate they are. Tony can just sit it out and turn the screw.

While De Zerb goes on the charm offensive with Moises. Hopefully he can see there's no real issue either. Either he does get the move or he plays a season in Europe with his mates and has every club in the world after him next season.

I did see what the fuss was about with Colwill but even so, I'd still rather take a punt on Igor and keep Moises for this season. He can then be our early 'planned' exit for next season. We get big bucks and he gets a big move in June and we plan for a champions league campaign having won the EL 🤪

Bloom is giving Boehly a bit of a lesson.
As it's the third one in 12 months The Todd really does need to start paying attention in class.

Yup. A Musk decision to stop people viewing tweets if they're not signed up.
I think you are LEGALLY required to call them Xs now, not tweets... :lolol:

One of the funniest things is that I imagine it’s Winstanley doing the ‘negotiating’. He knows how we work and seemingly doesn’t full understand it. Bless him.

But if Chelsea don't sign him, he'll have to play another season in the Premier League and the Europa League, under a manager recognised as one of the best tactically and at developing young players, with teammates and a structure he excels in, on his new improved Salary, AND he'll be 22 and past it by the time the really Big Clubs in the Champions League come calling next summer.

He really NEEDS to throw those toys out now or his career is finished

Hove actually
Apparently the Guardian are saying that our stance is Colwill and cash? Not sure how true but seems logical to me. However, I said it before and will say it again, we are in a win, win situation. Firstly, we know what we want and if we don't get it then Caicedo stays. Secondly, Chelsea simply cannot afford Caicedo as a cash deal given other singings and only 5 year deals allowed. lastly the pride before a fall thing is going to hurt them a lot more than it will hurt us. Poch has made it clear that Colwill does not move (fair play) but has made it clear he sees Caicedo as his player. Now, if he does not get Caicedo then he has a rather big hole in his plans or the other scenario is he gets one but loses another. Then he then has a big hole at the back to worry about.

Bloom is the operative word here. Him and Barber up against Winstanley and Todd. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm???
