Imagine if Chelsea made the same mistake and paid 100m for Estupinian thinking he was Caicedo.

They'd be  livid when they found out.
They’d probably be really pleased that they’ve got a player much better than Cucurella.

Something that is surprising about this summer’s window is that last year we were receiving big bids from 2 FFP-busting teams for our left back, whereas this summer we don’t seem to have had a sniff of interest in his upgrade 🤷‍♂️

Chelsea have chillwell fit and unless a Saudi team take him off their hands cucurella for the next 17 years(or however long his contract is).

City made do pretty well last year and I think they have a promising young kid coming through at lb so probably don't want to block his path.

Personally if I was Clearlake, I'd be avoiding doing any more business with Brighton. They are right up there with Inter Milan and Barcelona in terms of wanting deals to be too much in their favour.

I'm guessing the person who wrote the post is a youngster, who only knows the 'Russia billionaire happy times' at Chelsea, but give me strength. The ignorance of some people.
I’d support this notion of not doing any more business with them. Starting right now. We’ll keep Moises and have Igor likely incoming then we’ll sign Colwill when his contract expires if he doesn’t sign another one.

RDZ has previously made it clear that Ali Mac and Caicedo would move on and Estupinan and Mitoma would stay. After January perhaps other clubs have now got the message.

I can’t recall the exact quote but he said something about understanding that they would want to step up to bigger and more lucrative opportunities, and the club wouldn’t stand in their way. But that has to be dependent on the club receiving an acceptable offer which so far hasn’t happened. My instinct is that 90-95ish million could be enough but Chelsea have got nowhere near that as far as we know.

Yes, I’m thinking of his comments after the Man U home win. It’s always a little difficult to read too much into it because of the language barrier but RDZ is astute enough to know that.

Indeed. Also the general tone. It's like 'who are THESE people, to say no to US?'

Like some Valley Princess being rejected by a hick from a trailer park.

They'd do well to remember that not so long ago they were just another average shìtpot club, most famous for having a player named after a euphemysm for a hefty penis and being able to park a Ford Cortina behind the nets. Right up until they were turbo-charged by a James Bond baddie who pissed the stolen proceeds of the collapse of the USSR up the wall playing championship manager with them.

Except the majority of them won't remember that as they started supporting them in 2006.
Spot on, apart from half of them weren't born in 2006 !!

Excellent.

No Ferguson, Mitoma, Estupinan etc. for them in future windows. I fully agree with this Chelsea goon 👍

Chelsea draw up three-man midfield transfer shortlist as Moises Caicedo talks in standstill

Chelsea have drawn up a three-man midfield shortlist for the coming weeks that doesn't include Moises Caicedo as talks are locked with Brighton over a switch.

But... but... but... That's not FAIR. Chelsea are a BIG club. They WANT Moises. Really badly. Why are we holding him RANSOM? Why are we SUCH a small club? Haven't we seen their TROPHIES?
