We are aware that Colwill isn't the finished product and his game still needs work, but we see the obvious potential so are desperate to keep him. He has no chance of leaving, at least not this window.

As for Caicedo's price, we will probably offer 80m + 10m in bonuses. If Brighton don't accept, we will walk away. 90m is pushing it and we won't go above that price.

P.S. Rice is currently clearly the better player
😂😂😂 Then you’ve never seen Caicedo live.

Here’s hoping Chelsea walk away.👍

Yep here's hoping they do.Manure have publically pulled out of the race to sing him, Arsenal have just wasted, l mean spent, serious money on a very similar player, Liverpool have gone very quiet..

Maybe we will see him take the field wearing the sripes, come the opening weekend after all.

You won't be getting more money from the likes of Chelsea because we have a limit and will walk away once the numbers surpass that limit
You do understand that we don't want your money.

We'd rather keep the player. "Playing tough" on what you are prepared to pay bothers us not one jot.

Keep your cash and flick off as far as I'm concerned.

Rumours circulating today that Caicedo will stay 1 more season. Hope this is true. Couldn't bear it to see him go to such a crap disorganised outfit as Chelsea.
Where is this circulating? My ageing heart can't cope with such news.

Much as I would love this, where are those rumours? Vast majority of stuff in the press and SM indicates he’s very likely Chelsea-bound…..

Reality is we can’t lose - keep a top player, or get a huge fee. Win/win.

If Chelsea can’t/ won’t meet the fee wanted then he stays as no one else will now be able to meet our required value for the player.
However, I really can’t believe that Chelsea won’t now progress with the purchase as they are in dire need of a defensive midfielder. They’ve cleared out a range of players to fund the bid too.
Now that Mount has gone I can see this one progressing.

Not sure how you compare the two to be honest. You do realise Colwill is a centre back?

Caceido streets ahead of both of course.

So funny that this Chelsea nob insists Rice is better than Caicedo.

We already know he's not a proper football fan. A plastic like all but the 8,000 who used to go to "the bridge" for Premiership matches in the 90s. But now he wants to prove it with his clueless opinion on Caicedo.

Fun facts: Caicedo walks into ANY team in the world. He's literally one of the best midfielders in the world. Rice is merely good, and his fee is explained by his passport. I reckon fans of actual real big clubs who actually go would probably know this.

Caicedo bossed Rice on each occasion. But two excellent players.
