:lolol: :lolol: Even that doesn’t always work in practice……there was an effective ‘window’ in financial services due to bonuses almost universally being paid in Feb/March - no-one would resign from their job between say September and March as it would mean missing out on their annual handout (although sometimes ‘signing on’ fees were paid to compensate, this was quite rare).
As a manger in Financial Services we were always primed for resignations within a month of bonus payments.

Marc Cucurella, an ex-team-mate of Caicedo's, said: "I think he wants to come here. I've read in the media lots of times. I have a good relationship with him, he is a good midfielder and if he comes I think we have a top midfielder for a long time."

Shut it Marc!
To be fair, that's the sort of insight the transfer rumour saga was crying out for!

It is true! I'm on that gravy train now and want to leave. I either get a new job by September or will be hanging on until mid February.

He's just playing to his- admittedly rather thick, in the main- audience, isn't he, a bit like when he lied about being a Chelsea fan growing up (just outside Barcelona) and that time he drove from London to Brighton, passing Stamford Bridge on the way.

What I think is disgusting is the fact that he went out of his way to call Romano just to tell him this observation. What a turd!

Failed defender suggests his mate wants to go to Chelsea.
Failed defender thinks his opinion will sway things.
Failed defender hasn't done his mate any favours by associating Caicedo with a failed defender.

"I think he wants to come here, I've read it in the media lots of times" and "I have a good relationship with him" don't really sit together well, do they?

If you really thought he wanted to come (and I'm sure he does, just because of how much money they'll pay him), you'd know because you'd spoken to him, wouldn't you Marc, not because you read it in the many Chelsea plastic accounts on Twitter.

Absolutely! Cucurella singing the praises of his "good mate" Caicedo, who it seems hasn't actually even spoken to him about Chelsea...

I get the feeling Cucurella's mind is an interesting place to be.

That Marc bloke must have balls of steel if he can face reading the Chelsea plastics twitter account. I don't think they are very complimentary about him...:D

Probably likely that Romano called Cucurella and asked what he thinks, and Cucurella gave a fairly basic answer that we're now raging about but will mean nothing in the end.
I doubt even that much effort was involved. Probably Cucu being interviewed by someone else with dozens of questions including a naughty one about what he thinks of the MC rumours.

Now I loathe Cucu for the way he engineered his move and boo his every breath when we are playing the chavs but it is beyond even my hateful soul to care much about this insignificant "quote".

I mean I'm a hater, I gotta hate but I need more than this dross to get worked up about.

Remarkable how quickly he's gone from lovable hero to pantomime villain to actual hate figure isn't it?

He was being interviewed. Romano's just quoted from that

I was being facetious - honest! Publishing a statement from a player that repeats what he read in the news about another player is a shining example of the on line media during the transfer windows.
