There is another factor I believe. If we’ve not got a replacement for him, I think he’ll stay also. There is talk of Haidara, Adams, Caqueret or Amrabat but if we can’t get in a really good defensive midfielder, I think he stays.

I'm afraid he is going. Chelsea are doing their anticipated fire sale and will bid big. if Arsenal get gazumped for Rice, then they will counter offer. One way or another he'll be off in first weeks of July.
I am sure the recruitment team are preparing bids for an immediate replacement and a young one to buy now for the future.

I suspect they will want to get him signed ASAP now because there could be more interest in Caicedo, depending on where Rice ends up. But, for now at least, it seems to be Chelsea's deal to strike.

The one bit that doesn't make much sense to me, is the Guardian's report that if United can't get Mason Mount they may turn their attentions to Caicedo. That doesn't seem to make much sense given the attributes of the two players.

Midfielders are definitely the hot topic so far this summer. Rice seems to be the keystone, and once he signs for whoever it will be, the other pieces will start to slot into place. Agree that chelsea are front of queue for moises, and the cash they've pocketed this week will probably ease any short term ffp concerns.

Oh my god. This is the news I've been dreading for weeks. 'Journalist' DEAN JONES from some website reckons the fee is not right. .

I absolutely dread to think how this revelation is going to impact on proceedings.

United however are the best of the big 6 at developing and integrating their youngsters into the first team.

So maybe the ones which Liverpool and City sell are the ones United have more patience for.

On a serious note when a player signs a contract I think the player should be move barred for at least half of the contract length. We shouldn’t be discussing Caciedo moving on for two more years.

It is utterly irrelevant what we paid for Moises. It is what he is worth now and to whom..............quite simple. If Brighton, Tony in particular doesn't agree with the price he'll remain here. They can whine all they want.
