So they bid 4million more than the Liverpool bid that was accepted, are they ok
Nice round number, innit?

Even though it’s a shame to lose Caicedo, that is a truly astonishing sum for a single player and one pretty much any team on Earth would accept. This whole episode demonstrates that we are absolutely not to be messed with in transfer dealings. You’d have thought that was clear following the Cucurella saga but this has underscored it. Hopefully, when the vultures come calling in future windows we’ll see a bit more cash up front and a lot less of the mind games, because they didn’t work a damn against the coolest mind in the business.

There’s simply no messing with Uncle Tony.

More likely told them £115m or no deal tbh, shows Liverpool a bit of respect.

These aren't the players you're looking for.

They never said he would go to pool. Pool played it by the book , didn't tap up the player and got screwed because of that. Bit embarrassing.

But his Agent did encourage Liverpool to make a bid.

From Dave Maddock (respected journalist in the North)

"But late into the night they received encouragement to make a formal offer from the player’s representatives"

Can we collectively (forget Kane yesterday's paper) ever think Brighton would have such power in our domestic game. We have to be the benchmark all "normal" clubs aspire too.

Puff your chests out we've hit the news big time :ROFLMAO:

Especially as he has a dodgy hammy
