It seems simple to me, Chelsea haven’t matched the bid, we had a deal with Liverpool. He either goes to Liverpool or he comes back to us. If he won’t play for us he is fined the maximum amount and can watch his career stall for 5 months.

No player can dictate what club they go to when that club is offering his current club less money. I’m sure Barber is making this very clear to his ‘advisors’.

I don't why but I think Caicedo might stay at Brighton after all this speculation

After months of Caicedo (or, more likely, his agents) trying to force a move away from the South Coast - and currently 289 pages on this thread - I've got this strange feeling that it will not lead anywhere and he will be stuck here again 😕
... with neither Liverpool nor Chelsea wanting to bid for him again.

Chelsea have had a bid accepted for Lavia and agreed personal terms apparently. Seems weird thing to do this afternoon rather than focus on the Caicedo situation. Hopefully that pisses off Moises' agent enough.

It seems they are arm wrestling LFC. I have a feeling they will get both players.
Money talks, and generally speaking the Reds don’t get involved with this nonsense.
I really want Moises but not at any price, same with Lavia.
There’s always someone else.

Caicedo may be a worldclass footballer but he still has a lot of growing up to do!
Yeah having left his home two and a half years ago.
Played in the World Cup.
On the brink of a £100m+ deal with generational personal wealth.

The 21 year old really should grow up.

Watched the Becker doc with an intro by Pat Cash.
Something in the lines of talent and having it all very young was a recipe for a problem later on.

We'll see.

So Chelsea want Liverpool to remove their bid, so they don't have to outbid.

We've told them not to do that and to keep their bid in so chelsea have to outbid it

Chelsea have now agreed a deal for lavia because liverpool are refusing to remove their bid for Caicedo

Chelsea would happily take both Caicedo and Lavia? Erm, where's FFP? that's £1bn spent in a year with only £300m coming in

In the word's of the Virgin mary, Come again?
