It’s all too dramatic…! I’m reminded of the rather sad end to the original Quantum Leap… never quite knowing what became of Sam… leaping from place to place, striving to put right what once went wrong… kind of accepting he’d be dead in about an hour without his wise cracking, cigar smoking, politically incorrect sidekick… perhaps there’s a parable here… ? Then again, perhaps not…

I’d say look before you leap… but I guess that’s just too daytime ‘action’ series to be considered anything less than being penned by one of Hollywood’s lowliest hacks…

Yeah… “oh boy…” indeed, it’s the one where Moises is a ‘woman’ who has to deal with being very masculine in a dress… a brilliant visual gag, but by God it’s the moral of the narrative that gets you every time …

Pass me the tissues.

(and not in a good way)

Some clever person mentioned the other day that they seem to be planning to singe up loads of players, put them on long contracts, then suck up a 6 month or 1 year embargo, rinse and repeat. What a miserable way to run a club. I can't see the players shaking off the disinterest they showed last season. Poch wanted to trim the squad so he won't be happy. And he lost the Spuds dressing room before he was dispatched. What a delightful mess of a club.
Me 😁

Is Chelsea's tactic to spend as much as they want on any number of players, tie them in to long contracts, so that when they get hauled up, fined and transfers blocked, they have a load of quality players and won't care? The PL won't do anything. UEFA may do some small fine.

That's all lovely

But if a rival company to the one you worked for offered to double your salary would you honestly turn them down because the company you currently work for is run better ?!
Possibly, it would depend on many circumstances, one thing I have learnt is that pay is not the only metric that goes into a good job.

Not expecting Moises to be playing in a Brighton shirt again personally. Hope I'm wrong and he still gives his all until this saga is bought to a close.
Dunno, Paul Barber is pretty firm on it happening unless the valuation is met. The kid is on a long contract without an release clause, at some point he will have to settle down and pull his head in. I don't imagine TB will take kindly to petulant stand over tactics.

Anyone think that Fab Rom meant that to look like (at least to Cheksea fans seething with anger at Brighton's cruel treatment of poor Moises) it's PBOBE who is confirming that Moises wants to leave?
I did wonder that myself

Sporting Life says that he didn't turn up for work on Monday, but is still expected to play for Brighton at the weekend.

I wonder if Bloom has considered making Moises and his agents an ex-gratia payment to calm them down for a while.

And people made a big deal of Chelsea underbidding for him and couldn't understand why they wouldn't "just pay the price". This is exactly why. Keep bidding, stay in the conversation, let the pressure build and let the player/agents do their bit by pushing for the deal internally, and still with ages left in the window.

Except, TB/PB won’t feel any pressure, so that part of any ploy is 100% pointless.

They set a valuation months back and just get on with the club’s plans and life until it’s met. The bank balance is fine.

The only pressure is on a handful of Albion fans who have given up their summer to be wound up by The Chavs.
