Where is it all going wrong?

I work with two Brighton fans both are season ticket holders, they are so pissed off this season to the point that they are both considering giving up on this season, is it really that bad? Where has it all gone wrong from 2 years ago?

lt would be a shorter list to ask what IS going well.

Going wrong for me includes: no shape, no formation, no tailored tactics, crazy high full backs, no cohesion, too many chops and changes, playing people out of position, lack of on-filed organisation, kamikaze tactics, lack of direction from the technical area, lack of assistant manager assistance, picking out of form players, panic loans, complete lack of motivation from the manager, failure to analyse videos of mistakes and create firm plans to prevent recurrence, inability to learn from adversity and adapt or change, too narrow up front, starting with 3 players up top who are not 16 feet tall between them, complete lack of desire now transferring to the players, not even having a designated pen or free kick taker, getting the basics badly wrong, not playing as a unit, not attacking in pairs to get around the back, being led by an incompetent manager who has no managerial success to call upon, manager losing the dressing room, dressing room losing some of the fans.

Other than that, things seem to be going quite well. And yes, there is a lowest common denominator.

I think the club are concentrating funds to pay for stadium and training ground ie investing in the long term future of the club. They are (thankfully?) risk averse when it comes to shelling out on players that MIGHT get us into the Premier League. I give you Leeds, Portsmouth, Rangers etc.

I don't know if that's 'going wrong', but it does sort of seem sensible (if, indeed, that is what's happening - none of us know really).

Yes it has turned to shit and I am of the opinion that many will give up on us because the majority of attending fans have only recently come back. Now we are a shambles on the field the attraction has gone and plenty of fans will drift away until we are worth watching again.

Where has it gone wrong? Losing to you lot, Poyet going, FFP, useless player recruitment, sale of all our best players, clueless dour Finn for a manager. Need I go on?

We may have to wait for the academy to produce and a couple of seasons in League One or Two for the recovery to happen, In the past this would have almost been expected but we were so damn close that it probably feels worse than it actually is.

Not much to say that hasn't been already said.

Personally for fans it's the expectation of a far better outcome that the last couple of seasons where we missed out. But what really has affected people is the lack of quality that replaced players like Orlandi, Lopez, Kush, and more importantly ulloa.

OSCAR was someone that was marmite for fans. His style was not good, but he got results and it looks like his reasons for going were not that far of the mark, and possibly GUS's comments about the ceiling was also not a million miles away from the truth.

It's all a shame really.

Long time no speak! Hope you are well old chap.

Well its all down to having a clueless Finn in charge, an innefectual number 2 and a bloke with a massive database of shit like Toko, Cog, Baldrick, Clunge etc getting these sort of players in for our manager. He goes by the name of Burke. But because his recruitment was so shit we now have to fill our squad with loans and he sacked the scout that sourced Ulloa.

However we will have the best stadium in league one so its not all bad.

A bunch of misfits (albeit some of them good players glued together by a fallible Poyet system). Now the opposing managers have sussed it, the glue came apart.

We really need to build a team. Not going to happen over night.

That just about ticks all the boxes, unfortunately.

TB saying judge the squad when the transfer window closes and when that happened we had sold good players and signed far inferior ones . He then said about the squad being ready for a promotion push when obviously it was not and has not improved. All is not lost still time to recover but since that became obvious complacency has crept in that we are too good to go down. He has done extremly well for us but needs to see the trees from the woods.
