Wasn't going to go away this year but a friend has asked me if I fancy a week in France carp Fishing :fishing: I might have to break the news gently to the wife.

In Blois in the Loire Valley at the moment. Weather's lovely. May have a week's holiday in Brighton at the end of May. Haven't decided about summer yet - maybe Bavaria and Austria. Can't fly due to son's ear operation, but there's more than enough to see within a driveable distance. Not as cheap though.

Guess where I'm going for 2 weeks in August.

Wasn't too bad last time apart from the fact they were having a heatwave.

I had a work trip to seaworld outside of the school holidays and there was enough screaming kids then, right in the school holidays would be another level of hell!

No proper holiday this year as we are in the first year of our new business (in South Africa) and have little spare money and even less time. I shall be going to see my wife there for two weeks in July and hope to have a trip to the Kruger whilst I'm there

Just got back from a week in Swanage Dorset and surrounding areas, going back in May for the Diesel Gala on the Railway, Nice & Monaco in June, Dartmouth Devon in August and then Southwold Suffolk for Christmas.

.......might try and squeeze a small cruise in somewhere as well.

Swanage is nice, did you visit Far Corfe which is just up the road? :)
