You carry on like this young James - working Sundays for the overtime, doing some detective work off your own back etc - and I reckon you'll be promoted within the year! Is it me or are the Police getting younger? 1993? Christ, I've got underpants older than that. (very old joke I know, but a classic, nonetheless).
hang on a minute, you're called 'Grassman'!...................... Quick everyone turn off your PCs the old bill are on to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn, have I been outed? Best let Henry Hill I'll be moving in next door to him..... Interestingly, did you know that another slang term for an informer is a "cheese eater". Now, we'd I leave that emmental?
Market Porter, London Bridge.
a cheese eater?LOL, never heard that
A cheese eater? Hhhhmm - i suppose if it's someone who really likes cheese you might call them a 'cheese' man . . .
We had a rather splendid time in the pubs around London Bridge last season, celebrating our 4-0 victory at Charlton on the day that Millwall won 1-0 at Selhurst. Everyone was feeling very amiable.Be carefull, the Rodneys are at home tuesday night.
Palace, Millwall and Charlton are all at home Tuesday night. Which is bloody rare even without the added Albion element (why didn't they have West Ham rather than Watford at the New Den to add to the experience). Given the only other game in Greater London is at Spurs, I guess it's South East London Met Police's annual Overtime Day, so there may well be pub closures around London Bridge too (particularly post-match)...
