I am sure that like many of you I am working away (ok not at this minute) gazing wistfully at the glorious sunny day outside. Hopefully the heading of the thread is self explanatory.

For me it would be walking through Mount Edgcumbe County Park (Cornwall) on the way to the lovely twin villages of Kingsand and Cawsand for a random mooch around and perhaps a visit for a pint in the five pubs scattered around there before a snooze on the beach.

I would like to be in Cornwall with my trailer tent at Pentewan Sands or in Charmouth in Dorset. Having said that if I really wanted to be there I could hitch up the trailer and drive down there.

West Country or Scottish Highlands/Islands.

Or, at a Camelot press conference, collecting my multi-£m cheque.

Anywhere with a beach - wouldn't mind a day down in Weymouth to be honest.

We often walk from Cremyll through Mt Edgcombe to Kingsand and Cawsand couple of pints of Tribute and bus back to Cremyll it is very beautiful. Went to Salcombe over the weekend simply stunning.

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I'd like to be cracking through a human-sized shell in a vast osprey nest in a loch somewhere far away. I'd spot my siblings, all befeathered and beaky and begging for attention for our regurgitating hen, and try my utmost to connect, without seeming overneedy or uglyducklingesque, and do what i could to become the best, but rather philosophical, osprey of the bunch. Ok, i'd have trouble taking off, but my human scientific mind might enable me to put together a flying machine or device with the aid of osprette spittle and albumen and twiggage. I'd outlive all those around me, i know, but for the time i was there and them with me i'd learn so much and live in complete peace, only enlivened on occasion to blow up oncoming construction companies looking to redress the landscape so naturally perfect, or to send a swarm of my peck-a-death kin toward stag weekenders with shotguns and carcasses both of the land and aqua on their decks or 4x4 boots. Mating would send me off into the hills, i think, in the end, but i'd return every month or two to see how they were all getting on, spraying myself with some of the airtight-contained urine our cock daddy used to fire in all directions to claim that forest and all its bairn as his own. Mum would recognise me and give me a rather terrifying squawk "how are you my genius fleshy son" and motherly but virulent cheek-piercing peck.

Not really sure, I do like it here, and to be honest, I haven't been to many places where It's been hot, probably Devon or Dorset if anywhere, Lime Regis I guess.

Another vote for Cornwall but this time Looe. Lovely beach, great ice cream and pasties and fantastic fresh fish. Thankfully I'm off that way for a week starting Saturday !

Babbacombe beach, Torquay.
Kit up on the slipway, walk in and a gentle bimble amongst the kelp and spider crabs.

Surfing in New Polzeath, Cornwall then back to digs in Port Issac for a nice shellfish supper followed by a nightcap or two in the Bloody Bones bar

My son does. They keep nagging me to play but with 3 kids it is difficult to take a whole day out to play cricket.

I played in the Surrey Prem years ago - I still ahve nightmares of Banstead getting smashed into parts of greater London by DAvid Ward. Reigate was also a complete grave yard for seam bowlers. Great competition and probably strongest cricket league in the country at the moment - if your son fancies cricket then he could not be at a better club.
