When I was a kid we stayed with my grandmother in Brighton during school holidays. I got to see the first home game each season and occassional holiday matches later in a season plus we used to get the Argus posted to us in London so I read John Vinnicombe's match reports every week. Quite why I chose to support Albion after I first saw them in the late 50's when I had already been to see quite a few games at Spurs (Double winners!) and Charlton (then a much more successful team) I have no idea but I have been a fanatic ever since despite only ever being a permanent resident in the area for about 7 years in all that time.
