There is a loan in the offing (as confirmed by Wilkins himself at the Fans Forum) The transfer window doesn't close for another 26 days yet.

He did play and is on the way back. He had a slight setback after the Worthing game but as I posted above he played 90 mins at Hastings.
There are reserve matches coming up (the play off for the Pontins trophy at Ipswich for example) for him to get fully match fit.
