Listening to my local radio station, there were some requests for an early single by the Glitter Band called "Angel Face".
This triggered in me distant hazy memories of TOTP with Gary being surrounded by adoring females dressed in some kind of official uniform, and stories about a fans group with fanzines, newletters etc, all the paraphenalia of a marketing exercise for a 1970's icon.
The question I often wonder is: whatever happened to all these women? Like ex-Nazis did they all slink away after the cataclysm, or do they meet up secretly (like that famous scene in "The Boys From Brazil" and wear their Glitter outfits and dance to the shamed Leader's music below huge portraits of the Chosen One?
Has Gary's DNA been reproduced, for a range of bald perverts to be released on an unsuspecting world in the future? I've got a few worries about some premature slap-heads where I live..
