Huddersfield, away (obviously) one Weds evening, I think Flash Walker might have scored the winner.
I can't remember what time we were home, but it was nearer morning than evening.

And I drove there and back, how times change I was tired driving the 80 miles to Torquay, from where I was.

after the Shrewsbury league cup game a couple of seasons ago i think someone was run over in the car park, we ended up back in brighton around 4:30 as the police shut the area for a few hours and had car trouble getting back

Middlesbrough away in the league cup, the year we went up at cardiff. Wednesday night if I remember rightly and I went on the supporters coach. It went to Extra time. Got back at 5am the next morning. Frotunatley I didnt have college till after 12 oclock the next day so I still had good sleep. A mate of mine who I went up with (who still goes to matches with me now, went straight into work after getting off the coach). we lost 1-0.

I was still living in Yorkshire that September so it was only just over an hour for us (it was Ned's birthday)

Hartlepool this seasopn we decided to come back via A1 and had just passed the last junction before the M25 when a mini 3 cars in front of us rolled over. I told my youngesty son to go past on the hard shoulder but he chose not to but to stop like the other cars and we were there for 3 hours whilst the emergency services cleared the road.

Could not understand why they put a police car and or fire engine in each lane including the hard shoulder to stop anybody going past on the hard shoulder. I would have thought that they could have put the fire engines in front of each other on the 1st lane and directed everybody past on the hard shoulder but for some reason they didnt. The car turned over on the outside lane.

Sheff Wed away in March 1991 combining it with a visit to the Uni open day (I chose Nottingham in the end). 1-1 John Byrne equaliser I think.

No trains back to London after so amused myself in a few bars and sat around the bus station (thay had closed the train station) until the 5am commuter train took me to London and back into Brighton mid-morning. Luckily wasn't that cold.

Northampton Away 31st Aug 1991

Drove back via Munich (for the 5-1 game) got home on the Sunday evening!!!

I did that too.
Friday pm - left Hove
Friday eve - game at Northampton (Albion lost 2-0 I think).
Then got the 11:30ish train down to Euston - walked to Kings Cross Thameslink and went down to Gatwick at about 2:30am. Check in was about 4:30am, flight took off at 6am, and was dropped off in Munich city centre at around 9am. Coffee in the morning, beer in the afternoon, and bumped into a certain Mr and Mrs Owen.
After the game, it was back to the Airport, off to Gatwick, train to Hove and in the house by 1am GMT Sunday morning.

If the Albion hadn't lost, it would've been perfect.
But it was still rather good.
