Where is the option for "We don't need any"? 1 or 2 new / extra strikers are just not required!! they won't be used!!....they will sit on the bench till the 77th minute of each game!! we have a squad who are working as a great team and they don't need the distraction of a couple of waste of time, money wasting so called goal scorers!! leave it be till next season, we won't be going down, 5th or 6th from bottom is complete safety and respectable for our first season.......Tony Bloom keep the cheque book in your jacket pocket till next season we all have the faith!! just watch the match day threads on here and you can see and feel the positivism oooozzzing out when we let in a goal

Good point.

16 nil-nil draws will see us to 39 points.

I think we'll get one. £15m signing. And we'll soon realise he's no saviour just a slightly tighter string to a flimsy bow- even if only in our minds.

I don't think we will sign one for the following reasons:

1) Bloom/Barber hate doing business in January as prices are inflated
2) Everyone knows we are desperate for a striker making point 1) even ore of a problem. Clubs think they can screw us over, Bloom won't have that.
3) We are unlikely to want to break our salary budget
4) Any striker of proven Premier League quality won't be allowed to leave their club mid season
5) All of the bottom half of the Premier League are looking for a striker or two strikers
6) We are currently 12th in the table and maybe Hughton/Barber/Bloom think that we can hold that with the current squad
7) Signing a striker is likely to be better made in the summer when there is more time, less pressure and 1), 2) 4) and possibly 5) may not be so relevant.
8) If we stay in the Premier League it may be easier to attract a striker in the summer and we may have a bigger wage budget.

Therefore I voted no sadly :(

However none of the above rules out a loan that may give us a plan B to Murray/Hemed. Won't be the permanent answer though.

The idea of gambling the fortunes of the PL next year because of inflated fee is stupid imo. Hemed is struggling, Murray will get a few more but offers no pace and to think Baldock ca play on his own, let alone be prolific is far fetched. We need a striker.

And this will put the price up even more.

I be they are trying desperately to find a striker who other clubs don't consider a striker. Or at least, not a good one.

.

Why do people keep trotting this myth out? Apart from last season, when we didn't need to change much with 51 points from 23 when the window opened, we have made significant signings in every Jan window since 2013: Ulloa, Stephens, Kayal, Knockaert, Sidwell were all Jan signings,
