From the Argus:

Poyet would love to get Vicente involved, as he did off the bench early last season in the Carling Cup tie at home to Liverpool.

The player trained with the development squad on Monday and Tuesday and will be assessed when he reports back this morning.

He added: “We will see how he is on Thursday and we will go from there.

“If he is lucky or fit enough to be on the bench we will maybe give him 20 minutes for him to have that feeling of being a football player again.

“Then if the game goes crazy and we don't need him or it's a risk, we will see.”

When do you think he'll be back?

Put him on from the start, see if he can inflict early damage on Newcastle. Bit pointless putting him on if we are chasing the game. If he is struggling or not having any impression on the game then pull him off at the 20min/30min mark.

Hope it won't be the same mistake of playing him in the cup v Swindon, and that this is just to sell tickets.

Would prefer him back to destroy Derby again.

I would rather he gets a few more weeks in training to get fit for the last few months of the season to be honest, but I hadn't considered that notion of feeling like a footballer again that Gus refers to.
