I cant seem to get excited about it arriving this year, I think Withdean/Falmer and the big Yin, plus a lack of new players have just kicked all the enthusiasm out of me

Know what you mean, for the first time in years I have no excitement building for fixture day, maybe it's because the WC is still going.

I'm in exactly the same situation, so I'm pretty excited too.

Of course, I'd far rather be excited in the Championship than excited in League One, but I guess you can't have it all.

Call me Mr Thicky, but what do you need to plan that you cant do until you get your season ticket in your hand? (Or was this a way of ensuring that everyone knows youve got a season ticket without actually saying 'Ive got a season ticket arent I great!')

I was just thinking the same, Mr Mondays.
Maybe there is something we don't know about going on here. Perhaps the season tickets this year will have all travel details on them for away trips, or maybe there will be a great new pull out section at the back of the season ticket which will detail which pub everyone will be drinking at for which games (and if they will be wearing colours or not).

Iam concerned that during my time as a season ticket holder, now lapsed, that I didnt extract as much 'fun' out of it as I could have done through lack of planning. I just used to get my season ticket, which in those days used to come out after the fixtures had been announced (I presume this was so that the names of the opposition could be printed on the respective tickets), and then go to the games on the designated days at the designated time.

If, as you propose, the season tickets will have all of the above information on them, surely there is even less need for any planning?

If you don't want to know the fixture sin advance then don't bother looking personally I like to get them in the calander nice and early so as to avoid clashes with holidays and event that the missus may chose to add into the calender, if there's footie already in the calender she has to work around it so the sooner I have it updated the better.

So you have to have your season ticket to do that, not just the fixtures?

No I said I'm waiting for the fixtures to come out on thursday, I couldn't give a stuff about when the tickets come as long as they are here before the first game.

You're right Tubby, no need for the tickets themselves to start planning. Just bring on the fixtures. Unless there really is some bar-themed pullout poster in there for free! But, no, I didn't start the thread to boast about how much better a supporter I am than those who don't have season tickets. I've been an Albion fan for 23 years, most of it season-ticketless. Was just being a bit of a prat :dunce:
