[Misc] When was the last time you hiccoughed?

I honestly can’t remember the last time I had hiccoughs.

It must be at least ten years, maybe more. Have they gone the way of white dog poo?

About a week ago. Always have a short bout of hiccups when I’ve had a few beers.

I had no idea hiccoughs could be linked to health. I thought they were an involuntary spasm. A bit like yawning.

If anyone wants a fail proof way of stopping Ive found this always works.........needs a helping hand and you look silly but hey ho!!

Put thumbs in ears and hold nose closed with other fingers.
Get someone to 'feed' u water from a bottle or pint glass and carry on drinking for as long as poss.......3/4 pint min usually works for me!!

Not sure of the exact physics behind it but pretty sure its to do with airways being closed and systems equalising themselves out.
