Javier Manquillo , who will be a Spanish international
Jacob Murphy 12m

Few back from injury on top of a title winning squad.

They are stronger than us

Didn't they also sign a loan player from last season as well?

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion, but Hudds have already shown our club what can be done, providing you are realistic regarding market values... Tony and co just can't keep kidding themselves they can drive sellers prices down below admittedly inflated market values... put up, or shut up... we are PLR, in all but the most important area, our squad... but, hey, do carry on deluding yourself...

There is so much wrong with this I don't know where to start. :lolol:

OK, so Hudds have signed more players - doesn't mean they'll finish above us next season, does it?

How do you know how good their signings are?

How do you know that's what they're doing?

You don't work in negotiations do you.

1 - The Premier League hasn't started yet.
2 - How do you know the squad won't do well in the prem?

1. How do you know ours are any good? Never played in England, unproven.

2. Nobody but they know what they think, but given they state over and over again that we will not be spending excessively it certainly seems like they aren't willing to compete at the market value

3. Negotiations don't matter if the money isn't there, sad fact of elite football

4a. Correct
b. Nobody knows, but when looking at depth and PL experience in the squad, we are horribly lacking in both. It is not a stretch to believe us unready for the season ahead.

Remind us how Newcastle have strengthened.

Arguably they don't need to as they did their major spending last season.

They have tonnes of Premier League experience in their ranks and strengthened from their position of strength last year with the capture of:

Ritchie - £12m
Gayle - £10m
Gamez - £3m
Sels - £5m
Hanley - undisc
Diame - undisc
Clark - undisc
Yedlin - undisc
D Murphy - undisc
Lazaar - undisc
Atsu - undisc

So far they've got in:

Lejeune - £9m
J Murphy - £12m

Maybe , wasn't looking to much.

Goals needed in the Prem.

Cant see them being to worried when have

Gayle
Mitrovic
Murphy
Perez

and looking to add more.

Gayle has 15 goals in 64 PL appearances
Mitrovic has 9 in 35
Jacob Murphy is a Norwich squad player untested in the PL
Darryl Murphy, in case you meant him, is heading out, and has never played PL
Perez has 13 goals in 70 PL games.

meh.

Not sure what your expecting or who you think we are going to sign but players that average 10 a season or 1/4 in the prem are very very expensive . I would love to have their options up front

I'm with Weststander here. Yes, they've got a stronger squad than us, but it didn't translate on to the pitch last season. Who knows how it will pan out for them this season. I, for one, am looking forward to the Rafa-Ashley sideshow, and can see a flounce happening. I'd much rather have the Hughton-Bloom combo, which will serve us well.
I suspect they'll spend more than us, but that we'll spend more wisely, and we will have to spend on some forward players. Might not be until after the season starts though.

I'm not that interested. They managed to accrue a whole point more than we did over 46 games. That's hardly the translation of a stronger squad onto the pitch, but I wouldn't be surprised if you viewed it otherwise.

Yea, who needs facts eh, they aren't interesting :lolol:

Took 6 points from us and won the league.

Also spent over 20m on bolstering their squad this season.

They also had a lot of pressure on them and unlike many other big spenders they won the league deservedly so :)

Let's face it we are seriously behind the curve now with recruitment.

A central midfielder and striker are essential and each require large money.

And even that doesn't make our attacking options good enough.

Ho hum. Can't see anything other than relegation at the moment, but you never can tell.
