Interesting, I'd pick Propper 2nd after Gross for a penalty. You have plenty of time to take a penalty, I get the impression Propper likes time to calculate where his shots are going, he doesn't like to be rushed, then gets it spot on.

I entirely agree. He'd be my second choice too - he's a cool customer is Davy. I know they weren't an option on Sunday but I reckon that Alex Mac and Lallana would be pretty good too.

Fundamentally, I agree.

However, if Neal Maupay wishes to continue his career as a Premier League striker, it should not be down to someone else to sort him out or pick him up. He is in one of the most privileged (though admittedly high pressure) situations of professional life in this country. If he can't see that his body language, clearly indicative of a certain malady (whatever it is), is obvious to all, he needs to consider something else.

It's his one chance, and he is on the road to blowing it.

I like Maupay but completely agree. It’s down to him.

He has a great opportunity here, with a manager who will set us up to create lots of chances. If he can’t deliver consistently the club will recruit others.

Must admit, I was absolutely CACKING it when Propper stepped up.

In open play, that bloke couldn't hit the side of a ferry if he was standing on the dock.

Propper's issue isn't that he can't shoot, it's more that he won't shoot. Why have a pop from 15 yards when you can try an eye-of-the-needle through ball to a player that didn't end up making a run? (That aside, I think Propper is a very good player and we've missed him this season)

I just don't see the point in taking cheap pot-shots at our leading scorer just to gain internet points. We should be supporting him not activity trying to sabotage his confidence. It's pathetic really.

Really, it's just a discussion about should NM be our main pen taker that's also morphed into who would we like to take our penalties. Nothing sinister. His record of late has been poor so it seems a reasonable discussion. I think you take what is posted on here way too seriously .... NM is NEVER going to read it so the statement "activity [SIC] trying to sabotage his confidence" is very drama queen like. Even if he did, if he took the opinion to heart, then he shouldn't be a professional footballer .... god help him when we can have a full Amex again .... it will be much harsher than NSC. No, you decided to wet your pants because a Mod, indeed the owner, of NSC created a discussion point about FOOTBALL ... indeed the ALBION .... but you hate all the mods and the board membership in general. Isn't discussing football and the Albion EXACTLY what NSC is meant for ?

You are totally right of course. What on earth were we thinking ?

OK listen up everyone - nobody is allowed to say anything about ANY of our players now, unless its something really NICE about them. OK ?

Bozza - could you make that a sticky ?

Glad we sorted that out.

Agreed - Propper I was pretty confident about - his issues usually stem from situations where he doesn't have time and space. A penalty is perfect for someone as calm and technically gifted as our Davy.

Hmmm conversely there is such a thing as taking too long over a penalty, doubts can set in, and it gives you too much time to change your mind as where to put it, and we all know what can happen then.

It is unbelievable how rapid the decline of Neal Maupay has been, After a good debut season and some decent form after the lockdown break and even a reasonable start this season, whatever led up to the 'training ground bust up' appears to have removed all confidence from him.

Given Potter is meant to be a great man manager and specialise in dealing with 'conflict' - then the way some of our previously star players are declining is very alarming.

To me he seemed unsettled in WBA game when he was playing as a lone striker when i think he does better in a proper pairing. It also seemed to coincide with arrival of Wellbeck which might put some other slant on it.

After thinking long and hard during the month ban that this post got me I can clearly see why it is considered abusive and worthy or a ban four times longer than suggesting Jews be branded. I apologise deeply.

Bozza please remove me from this site. I no longer wish to be associated with it or the posts within it. I will go somewhere else for supportive of the team and of other people.

Thanks, goodbye.

On the topic... I wouldnt mind him taking one today as it means Brighton got a penalty.

Bozza it has been a week and my posts are still on this site. Please remove them and my account. NSC and social media needs to do more. I hope one day in the future you will get this place under control. Maybe then I will return.

It seems a lot easier not to log in again than to ask that someone do something for you.

I had a really distressing dream last night, we got a penalty early in the game against them, tomorrow night, and he missed.

So its a no from me.

If Gross is on the pitch, let him take it.

If Gross is on the pitch, then its his job - until he misses one. If Gross is not on the pitch then I'm sure they have a plan and I'm fine with that
