You do WHAT?

A Basket only checkout sign is against the Disability Discrimination Act if you can't carry a basket. I'll only do it if I've got about 6 items. 99.9% of checkout operatives at Sainsbury's in Fareham let me through without question. There was one who created a fuss when I told him I couldn't carry a basket, and then went on to put 4 bags of flour in one carrier bag:angry:

Hove innit, you mug.
After work yesterday i went to the supermarket for a few essentials. I chose a basket.

I then filled it up so much i had to carry it with both hands, and spent £50. All i could think of was this thread.

Basket. On a side note, if you have brought a bag, because you don't want to waste/pay for carrier bags, is it done to put things in it while you shop, but take them out at the checkout and pay? And if not, why walk around with a basket and a bag?

Noticed at weekend in Tesco Hove there are signs kindly asking shoppers not to do this.
