What a load of shit. Football once again showing it thinks it is more important than the rest of the world. If there is a pandemic on, with lock downs of public spaces why should a game be played behind close doors? What about players? Staff? St. John’s etc ? Still requires a bunch of people to go there and do their job.
I am sure the Chief Exec has this covered in the small print T&Cs about refunds or lack of
Important: Changes have been made to our Direct Debit terms & conditions...
In the event of the postponement or abandonment of the Match (or if the Match has, for any reason, to be played out of view of the public), you will be entitled to receive a full refund (including any booking and/or administration fee) or receive the equivalent ticket for the subsequent re-arranged Match via such application procedure as the Club stipulates. The Club will have no further liability whatsoever, including (but not limited to) any indirect or consequential loss or damage, loss of enjoyment or travel/accommodation costs.
Does anyone seriously think we will get a refund?
I reckon a £20 voucher against the purchase of this seasons kit with the premier badge on it!

"Football" who/whatver it is, hasn't shown anything yet.
This is a discussion amongst football fans based on a guess as to what may happen.
Perhgaps save your considerable ire for if and when something is announced.
FWIW, I kinda agree with your point, but more from a practical perspective. If the virus does become as widespread as is feared by health authorities, then some footballers themselves will be infected. In some cases this could be the majority of some squads. Clubs impacted in this way should not be required to fulfil a fixture, so what happens at that point if a programme of BCD matches had commenced with the aim of trying to complete the season?
Given that the published attendance figures are based on sales rather than bums on seats - it will be interesting to see the attendances published when no-one is actually there!

All about the £££. Sky Sports be f**ked if everyone cancelled for six months. And we'll all want something to entertain us while we're 'working' at home.
Players and staff will be tested daily (at least) I'm sure
I would imagine, worst case scenario, that no games will be played behind closed doors, instead the rest of the season’s fixtures will be terminated and that the 2019/20 results and league placings will be null and void. In which case there will be no relegation or promotion, and, those qualifying for European competition will be based on 2018/19 standings. Mind boggling eh?
ideal reaction would be temporary permitted to televise 3pm games, on condition of being free to air. clubs need to keep the revenues and for most fans hope they'd see it as a donation to their club.
