For some on this thread it probably means twice a week every 2 weeks.

The problem is it depends who your talking to so it's ambiguous.

Again another easy one - that's a meeting which takes place 2 times a week. If you want a meeting which takes place every other week, then you use the statement "a fortnightly meeting".

Again another easy one - that's a meeting which takes place 2 times a week. If you want a meeting which takes place every other week, then you use the statement "a fortnightly meeting".

The use of "biweekly" befogs the statement - so the use of "fortnightly" or "twice weekly" here allows you to avoid that. Again use words which are clear in their meaning.

THE next Sunday is obviously 5th (AKA THIS Sunday) but NEXT Sunday is 12th.

everyone saying "clearly" is clearly missing that its not clear. the above may explain why. the resolution is to accept "next sunday" is ambiguous, not use it and use this Sunday and Sunday week to mean the weekend after.

Mrs T and I agree with you except that if it were Monday she would call this Sunday 'next Sunday'. If she did I would then smell a rat and ask her if she really means next Sunday or this Sunday. I seem to find I often have to ask people what they actually mean, and this can sometimes cause unrest. The English language, and the people what use it, eh?
