Will there be a WINDIER ground in the football league?

Been up there a few times and on every occassion it's been blowing a gale.

I wonder if it will affect the football much.

It's nowhere near as windy as you are Fanny.

I'm going to take a punt that the roof and enlosed walls of the stadium - a stadium dug into a bit of a hollow - have some bearing on whether the wind affects anything.

In the 1980's I used to wander up & down the M62 corridor to watch Rugby League (when it were played at t'proper time of year) & Odsal Stadium at Bradford was just a huge open bowl of permafrost on the side of a hill - I think Bradford City played there for a bit after the Valley Parade fire so has also been a footie ground?

Yes it was. Agree with the Britannia at Stoke, it was freezing with the wind howling round the corners. Oldham is cold but one August we were there, it was red hot under the tin roof.

if you're standing at one end gassing away, then it might well be.

You can't beat Boundary Park, for the coldest football ground in Britain. But going up to Falmer back in the late summer. Overcast, windy and rainy day I said to my mother imagine when Falmer opens, because it will be bloody freezing.

Villa was cold, My toes were shrivelled up for about an hour after I'd left.
Wigan is also a very cold ground.

I'm a uni student at Falmer, and it's freezing, most students are wearing coats all year round. the wind is so fresh up there
