How do you know the components, say the motherboard and case will go together?

So how do you know if a certain cpu with go with a certain motherboard?

because each cpu is a different "socket" so you get a motherboard that accepts the same "socket"

tbh if you dont know much about computer hardware, just buy a dell, you barely even save much money by making your own now

if you buy an athlon processor for instance, you will need to make sure that the motherboard you buy with it is athlon compatible

or get a motherboard/CPU/and Ram bundle from a decent dealer if you really want to build you own
