There's an air of inevitability about this match up for me.

If it stays this close by this time tomorrow, the second accounts will be out in force to snatch victory away from the HB. The Badger bashers have been waiting for a close match-up like this so as not to make it quite as obvious.

It's hilarious to think anyone could be that petty and pathetic - surely no one has that lonely and boring a life?

But then I remember this is NSC.

Exactly right - I'm amazed that the competition rules permit the use of second, third, fourth and fifth accounts. Everyone knows that the HB is, pound for pound, THE hardest creature in the world and yet a number of inadequate human beings completely lacking in integrity are permitted to prevent the HB from assuming his natural position every year. But then I suppose this is NSC, and those with multiple accounts are permitted to use these to the point where anything (even a shrimp one year!!! - astonishing but true!!) other than the HB is allowed to win.

Hope the Jag makes the final just so that we can see a fair fight. There's no way the HB will ever be allowed to win WHC, it might as well bow out.

Jags are leopards that got lucky and wound up in a continent with no other toothy mammals. If Jags were in Africa Lions would boss them. If Jags were in India Tigers would steal their kills and eat their babies. Jags are just lucky leopards and leopards are the third hardest cats going. The whole Jagfest here is utter bullshit.

It's the badger's year, in the same way that it's our year.

Or will one of us cock it up? Or both of us?
Both or neither, we are forever entwined. Brighton will never be promoted until the Honey Badger wins.

It does feel like Jaguar is getting the "cool" vote, rather than the "hard" vote. I respect it, but don't think it's that impressive, and certainly not as good as the Salt Water Croc in my opinion.

True but that was a travesty for a semi final. A mouse, for goodness sake!!

Oh no, the Grasshopper Mouse is way harder than the Salt Water Croc. The only really decent hard quality for the Croc is the "losing a limb and continuing to fight/thrive" fact. It doesn't do that much else. GM does tonnes of hard things and has a great attitude with it.

What is the WHC record for most votes placed in a given match?

We're currently at 148 votes (76 HB vs 72 Jag), with a whole day left of voting. If it hasn't already broken records, it must be well on it's way to doing so?

But then I remember this is NSC.

25 posts you've made in this competition since the quater finals.

That's 25 posts discussing which animal is harder, in a competition, on an internet forum, and yet you call others lonely and boring.

And yes I am well aware of the irony of calling you boring having bothered to count yours.

That is disgraceful fake news. If it swings even one voter then I declare the contest invalid.

We're seeing a fixed contest here folks (unless the Trump Teddy loses of course in which case "stop whining").

It swung me, but that is because i swore to myself that i would vote against any animal supported by anyone that used that form of rather obvious, and underhand, emotional blackmail.
