WHC IX: The FINAL***

Hardest Beast?

Let's draw an analogy. A local pub.

Amongst the regulars, there's a little head-case. Punchy, aggressive little tool. Always on the edge of starting something. He's pretty hard, to be fair, but on close scrutiny, he picks his targets - he's effectively an angry little bully.

Then there's the other guy, who just sits in the corner, taking it all in. The 'hard' little fella NEVER crosses this guy,

Little man is the one making all the noise, getting involved, starting stuff, but we all KNOW who the really HARD one is.

Woolverines are Scottish?

Who knew.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
If a polar bear lost a limb it would bleed to death, and it didn't survive a meteorite hit either....but is rested so creatures like these can have a day of glory. So meaningless point really.

It wasn't rested. It didn't get seconded when nominated.

Wolverine is hard in the same way a badly trained Jack Russell terrier is hard, i.e. not hard, just an asshole.

What if Punchy doesn't pick his targets, and is seemingly indiscriminate with who he starts on? And he starts on Bonecrusher Henderson, sitting quietly in the corner, and gets the shit kicked out of him? Bonecrusher is well out of his league, but he still has a go, probably knowing somewhere in his little head that he'll end up looking like a Picasso version of himself. But he does it anyway, because it's his nature. That's hard.

or just stupid?

Being stupid, is not being hard. Its just being stupid.

At least one account reported a wolverine's apparent attempt to steal a kill from a black bear, although the bear won what was ultimately a fatal contest.

Richard Hammond kicking off is not 'hard', it's a jumped up little runt being a dickhead.

If he beat up Tyson Fury though, like a Wolverine takes on a bear, then you'd have to accept he is hard. The Wolverine takes on and DEFEATS bears much bigger than itself. I think you are missing that point in your analogies thus far.

One contestant calling the other one not hard is ridiculous. They're both clearly hard.

It's just the wolverine is harder

The Wolverine spends its life in isolation, shuffling around in the snow, looking for berries and small rodents, occasionally stumbling across some leftovers on a deer carcass that something hard has killed. Once in a blue moon it faces off with a small bear or lynx, and proceed to do the 'hold me back, hold me back' bollocks so beloved of wannabee football hoolies, before scuttling of into the trees or getting its arse handed to it.

Feisty little thing. Bless it.

At other times it's killing bears and moose, which are 20 times it's size.

Crocs meanwhile, mainly eat fish and small stuff. Sometimes it doesn't eat for months. Occasionally a croc will show it's hardness, but not often. And whatever you do, don't come at it with an elastic band as it'll crap itself
