a bit of a sunday smiths LOVE IN is currently occuring in my windows media player, for me, MEAT IS MURDER is my favourite, closely followed by THE QUEEN IS DEAD

Just seen this thread, and the lack of interest from NSC

The Queen is dead for me. Has three or four of their best songs on it.

Closely followed by The Smiths.

very tough call as each vinyl copy was adored and played to death as released and bought during those heady student days. On reflection now though I'd probably have to go for The Queen Is Dead as it's the only one I've bought on CD to put on my ipod

I like The Smiths, no I don't I f***ing love them. Meat is Murder gets my vote because of the sheer melancholy beauty of Well I Wonder. I often sing it to myself as I walk through grey streets, coat collar turned up barely protecting me from life's constant drizzle, as girls hurridly look the other way and cross the street to avoid me. Life's good.
