The beauty of films is that you can completely change the story from the original book, and no-one is overly bothered.

Can't say I have read it, so was relying on the Film that your image came from.

Yep, it is, and New York doesn't feature in it at all.

I thought a picture of the cover of the book would be a bit crappy, see, and the monkeys in the films amuse me.

I believe the author of the novel did in fact say that the ending of the film was better than the ending he came up with himself.
