Not Albion related surprisingly, Beckham at his best just after scoring a superb free kick to equalise v Greece - 6th Oct 2001. Sent us to the WC finals at a time when I was quite keen on the national teams fortunes. I went batshit mental and for some reason climbed our of my living room window and celebrated on the window ledge. I was pissed.

Garry Nelson was a great striker.

Look at the huge crowd on the east terrace. 26,000 at the game. Reminds me of quite a few happy evenings under lights and afternoons in the 1970's when I was just one of 33,000 (plus thousands more than Bamber didn't record in the books!),

The club's now back to its natural size with a huge following.
