CM - Holla
CM - Gardner
CM - Stephens

Fwd - Colunga

Lua Lua
CMS
Ince
March

No place for COG, McCourt, Toko Forster-Caskey or Bruno on the bench. That squad if it remains relatively injury free should be more than good enough to be playoff contenders.

I'd go with this. Except, I'd have Bruno instead of Calde, but I'd still be happy with either to be fair. Oh, and maybe March for Paddy.

Wife's out so I have done something a bit sad. I averaged what was said in the 26 declared teams up to post 50. Here is our current collective view of the starting 11.

Goalkeeper
Stockdale 100%

Defenders
Bruno 65% - although some made room for him in midfield
Greer 96%
Dunk 96%
Bennett 100%

Midfield
Holla (100%)
Gardner (69%)
Crofts (42%)
Teixeria (100%)

Forwards
Colunga (88%)
Baldock (67%)

I would go with this team but swap Baldock for CMS (44%). Plus what a bench with Calde (42%), Hughes (8%), Stephens (31%), Solly (23%)

Our least favoured team wouldn't win the league, but they wouldn't lose every week:

Goalkeeper
Casper or Walton both 0%

Defenders
Chicksen 0%
Hughes 8%
Maksi 0%
Calde 42%

Midfield
Kemy 0%
JFC 0%
McCourt 4%
Kazenga 4%

Forwards
COG 0%
Fenelon 0%

What no Ince?

Stockdale
Bruno Greer Dunk Bennett
Colunga Holla Stephens Teixeira
Mackail-Smith Baldock

Subs;
Walton, Calderon, Hughes, Crofts, LuaLua, Toko, O'Grady (so out of place).

Also, I can't believe how underrated Toko is. Admittedly I haven't seen anything of him other than the Southampton cameo but his lack of game time upsets me a lot.

Too many of you have ignored March. When fit I think (and hope) he's going to be one of the stars of the season for us.

This is a really strong squad. It will really test Sami's man management skills, as a high proportion of those players will have high expectations of playing first team regularly. They won't have signed to be bench warmers. There will be a few noses put out of joint, that will need some careful handling if they are not to disrupt the dressing room. Unless we ship some out of course!

Experience alone is enough to put him in the team, you don't play in the premiership if you are shite.

And Villa wouldn't of given the lad a new 2yr contract in the summer if he was shite either. They rate him.

Interesting that many people have included Baldock, but not O'Grady.

Yet Baldock has never scored as many goals in a Championship season, for West Ham or Bristol City, as O'Grady did for Barnsley in 2013-14.

More an indication of the system we play now than goals scored previously at other clubs.

Don't think we can wait for COG to start running on all cylinders, he looks slow and very out of salts, where as baldock has age on his side and a more clinical finisher.

That rather remains to be seen at this level.

Baldock has a BETTER minutes per goals ratio in the championship.

Goal every 217 minutes.

O Grady a goal every 237 minutes.

Baldock destroys him at league 1 also on top of that.
