What's your biggest disappointment of the World Cup?

No disappointments - all the chaff is being cut out - including England - leaving the good wheat, i.e. the good teams and players in, what's there to worry about?

If you havent heard my ranting already.... the refusal to accept technology for the bloody obvious awful decisions. I don't care if the best team wins... if that s always the case there would be no fun in football...I want it to be fair and Germany and Argentina, no doubt the better teams, got through because of Sepp Blatter's blindness... how is this worse than Eurovision's blindness to the scoring system that everyone harps on about...

...of course World Cup is much more improtant than a crappy (but funny) music competition of course.

3 way tie for me - Australia's performance against Germany, England's performance throughout and the refereeing.

Rooney is proper shite end of:mad:
gareth barry has never been good enough:angry:
Terry was a lost puppy:angry:

The list is bloody endless and im gobsmacked how very poor we really are,i've come to the conclusion that most of our so called stars are carried at there parent clubs by quality foreign players.

Did any of these players actually look upset afterwards or cry?

No fu$king passion or pride and should never wear the shirt again.

Bar ashley cole:thumbsup:

Despite failing to even qualify for Euro 2008 with practically the same team, the press and the nation still bigged us up as potential winners, even though we've been dicked on when we've played Spain and Brazil recently.

Now, all the absolute knobs saying "sack capello" "retire rooney" and other shit like that because we got knocked out by a better side.

The disgraceful game was the Algeria one. Not this one. Nobody with any sense really thought we were going to do much more than the quarter finals - problem is we ended up playing a quality side a round too early.

Obviously Rooney's been the biggest disappointment, because he's not even looked like scoring after being our main man in the qualifiers. He's been crap, yes.

Another major disappointment though - Aaron Lennon. It's all very well saying Rooney's shit, but half his goals have been headers this season. Lennon and SWP's crossing in the first two games was gash. I think Rooney's had one shot in the area all tournament, and part of that is down to our midfield being as creative as one of the H block goons at Withdean.

Good post man.

Didn't help not having a natural left footer for the LM role, Johnson had a stormer of a season. Why did he not get in??

The long and short of it is....

Same shit, different tournament....and yet evertime our expectations raise when in reality, the last time England won something was in 66.

Not the best fo records really?!

Bring on the Albion and some real passion for the game!

PS Rooney I believe is still carrying an injury, he never tracked back or went in with the 50/50 tackle, that is not Rooney!

he aint been the same since Bayern

From day one I haven't been able to get into it and there are several reasons for it being a big let down. I know the main reason, however - those bloody horns.

Sadly I didn't expect us to get very far but am still disappointed by our performance (or lack of it). I suppose it doesn't matter what the reasons were for our poor performance, whether it be lack of English players playing in the premiership, the team were tired, we were rubbish, we are out and that is the end of it. Unsure whether Capello should go or stay - is there a viable alternative since it took the FA long enough to find him.

the way that Capello has knocked the personality from the players and back room staff. Rooney chasing back, getting booked, walking a tight rope, arguing with everyone
................. then scoring. That's the Rooney we know, not this one.

And Stuart Pearce - when was he ever a puppet for anyone?....seemed like a little boy sitting next to Capello. What is/was Pearce's role?

In my computer
that once again the English press mislead and pump up people into some sort of belief of ability that doesn't exist...

and the vuvu-stupid things...

and the fact that we (Australia) didn't get through.... drat
