Tone said on the telebox." We have to spend within our budget" Unfortunately he didn't specify how much was in the budget. :lizard:

He has stated in the Argus, that our budget will be very generous (words to the effect) for a league 1 club next season.

Doubt even Slade really knows 100% so the chances of us finding out are very minimal which is the way it should be.

I've heard upwards of around 500M With Kaka, Messi & Ronaldo expected to sign soon.
However, Talks with Ronaldo have stalled after he fainted reading the contract offer.

We won't have to wait long to get an idea of the budget available, although I'd wager the money we do have will be spent primarily on wages rather than signing on fees.

You can look at that from the opposite side aswell, maybe he is trying to play down the transfer budget to stop us being ripped off.

I absolutely believe that there is a very healthy budget because we cant afford to be half arsed about getting out of this division if we are to achieve TBs target. They certainly would be shooting themselves squarely in the Gentlemens Veg if they came out and stated as such. RS must be salivating at the thought of building a new team though. I have so much confidence that TB and RS will get this right. Exciting times!

I'm a people pleaser... I am. It's true. Therefore,

our budget as of 0737 is £576,965.74 and counting. Up or down? you decide.

Oooooooooooooooooooo let's make it a game of Bruse Forskins... you say higher or lower! Exciting.

The budget will be in the region of £1m.... whether that includes fees/new players wages as well I am not sure, but that is the budget for the next season.

Club objective will be to establish themselves in the Championship for the opening of Falmer. Given the tougher division next season, this budget will be needed to enable us to compete in the top 6.

Wont reveal my source, but its accurate.

£1m - that is interesting.

I always assumed the manager was given a budget and he then had to spend it as he saw fit on all playing staff costs (i.e. transfers, wages, bonuses, etc.). £1 million does sound low - if he employed a couple of high earning players (Virgo is allegedly on £150,000/year) then the entire budget is almost gone.

As I said above, not sure if that includes the player wages etc, but you have to assume not. £1m and we can get 3-4 decent quality signings to boost the squad...

The club can now finally start to build for a future with Falmer and this season is a very important step in that process. We spent alot last season and other clubs know we have the cash so the Albion where constantly quoted inflated fees...

Gonna be an interesting season coming up :)
