There are a few contenders but how are you defining bestest (sic)? Is it on suitability, memorability or just a damn good tune like Alabama 3? Personally I've always liked the theme tune to cheers

How about 'Whole Lotta Love?' by Led Zeppelin, which was plundered as the theme tune for Top of the Pops?

I think there was some Vietnam war drama that had 'Paint it Black' by the Stones which would also be in my top 10.

Think you'd have to include true blood on the list, I liked roseanne's for a season or two near the end when it was sung by John popper, different strokes and Brady bunch are gears, happy days, I remember liking the brush strokes theme tune.
